L’Oasis Tour: A Guided Journey Through the Making of Heliopolis

L’Oasis Tour takes place on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a guided exploration of Heliopolis and the vision that shaped it.
The tour goes beyond well known landmarks to examine how Heliopolis was imagined, built, and sustained over time. Through architectural stops, storytelling, and community encounters, participants explore the social, political, and economic forces that formed the city, alongside its myths, memories, and everyday life.
The journey includes visits to Baron Palace, key historic palaces, the Basilica Church, a terrace lunch, the Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development, and Ghurnata Community Space, as well as conversations with community voices including Nevine El Gindy. The experience concludes with a collective reflection on heritage, urban revival, and what it means to preserve a city today.
