Opening Ceremony of the Cairo International Book Fair Edition 57

n January 23 at 8:00 PM, the opening ceremony of the Cairo International Book Fair returns with a special evening titled A Modern Egyptian Tale, celebrating 100 years since the birth of legendary director Youssef Chahine.

Hosted at the Al Manara International Conference Center, the ceremony brings together cinema and live performance, featuring the Philharmonic Union Orchestra and Choir under the baton of Maestro Nader Abbassi, with artistic direction by Ahmed El Bohy.

The evening sets the tone for the fair’s 57th edition, honoring Egypt’s cultural legacy through music, film, and storytelling, and is proudly presented by Commercial International Bank as part of its ongoing support for the arts and culture.
