Saqqara Half Marathon 2026

The Saqqara Half Marathon returns on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Saqqara, marking a major milestone for The TriFactory’s Race Through History series. What began as a small 5K community race in 2022 has grown into a full-scale international running event, now evolving into a half marathon for the first time.

The 2026 edition features three distances: 21K, 10K, and 5K, giving runners the rare opportunity to race through the Saqqara Necropolis and its surrounding archaeological landscape. The 21K and 10K routes extend toward the Abusir Pyramids, using newly opened interlock roads that allow unprecedented access to this historic area.

The start line, finish line, and awards ceremony will once again take place beneath the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, offering a setting unlike any other running event in Egypt. With thousands of participants expected from across the world, the Saqqara Half Marathon blends endurance sport with cultural heritage in one of the country’s most iconic locations.
