The Finnish Experience on Valentine’s Day at Room Garden City

A special Valentine’s Day edition of The Finnish Experience takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Room Art Space in Garden City, Etehaad Al Mohamin, Cairo. Doors open at 7:30 PM, with the show running from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This is a fresh, sold out concept returning by popular demand, offering a different form of comedy known as “Hekyokomedii,” created and performed by Hossam El Sokary. The show blends improvised comedy with storytelling in an interactive format where the audience takes part, laughing intelligently while exploring different cultures with warmth, humor, and depth through a personal journey in search of love.
The first two editions of The Finnish Experience sold out within hours at E&D Maadi and Nahda Nasibian Theatre. Now, the show returns to Room Art Space Garden City, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day.
Hossam El Sokary is a writer and media figure known for his satirical work, with articles published in Al Shorouk, Al Masry Al Youm, and Al Manassa. He ran BBC Arabic for years, created and presented some of its most well known TV and radio programs, headed Yahoo Middle East platforms, and worked as a media communications consultant for international organizations. He recently shifted his focus to stand up comedy as a form of cultural and social expression, using “Hekyokomedii” to offer audiences more than entertainment, a thoughtful and humorous window onto the world.
